ICGEB is a unique, autonomous, Intergovernmental Organisation, with biotech labs in Italy, India, and South Africa. The Computational Biology Unit at ICGEB is a recently established lab which has the aim of using and interpreting high-throughput datasets to discover molecular patterns underpinning biological processes in disease. The long term goal of our lab is to lead the development of new therapies and diagnostic tools. To do so, we integrate the use of genomic data, biological experiments and bioinformatics to further the understanding of the processes involved in cancer progression, and identify the molecules with the potential to be incorporated in clinical settings.
