Naida Babic Jordamovic

Researcher, ICGEB

Naida obtained PhD in Genetics and Bioengineering at the International Burch University Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2016. her research was mostly based on human population genetics studies and investigation of Short Tandem Repeats on the population of Western Balkan countries, underlying genetic diversity of geographically specific regions. She is Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellow in Medical Biotechnology department - Computational Biology group at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Trieste. Her main field of research is to investigate biological pathways as biomarker signatures for precise cancer treatments with the interest to apply the concept of precision medicine to human malignancies. She is part of the project investigating marker-based population genetic studies trough the Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in microbial samples responsible for antibiotic resistance. She participates in project on markerbased metagenomic analyses of environmental microbiome, investigating different microbiome samples for antimicrobial resistance.
