SMASH Host institution

The oldest and largest higher education in Slovenia. UL is also founder of the University incubator and a member of numerous international networks like EUTOPIA European University, Utrecht Network, EUA, and The Guild. It comprises 23 faculties and three academies of art. UL will participate with two of its members, namely Faculty of Computer and Information Science (UL FRI) and Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (UL FMF). They are both among the leading higher educational institutions in the respective fields in Slovenia, with the main function of educating undergraduate and graduate experts, as well as engaging in research work which generates new knowledge and uncovers solutions to contemporary problems. UL has participated 223 H2020 projects (4 ERC and 36 MSCA) and currently is participating in 84 Horizon Europe projects (5 ERC and 10 MSCA).
