SMASH Associate partner
The Linguistic Engineering Group at the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPI PAN), conducts research at the intersection of linguistics, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Its work covers corpus linguistics, morphosyntactic analysis, syntactic and semantic parsing, information extraction, distributional semantics, sentiment analysis and the assessment of online content. The group has developed major language resources and open-source tools for Polish, including the National Corpus of Polish, the Walenty valence dictionary and the Morfeusz morphological analyser. As a SMASH associate partner, IPI PAN contributes expertise in language technologies, research data and computational methods for analyzing large text collections.
