Matej Batič

Matej Batic is a professional with a Ph.D. in physics and background in high energy physics research. At Sinergise, he leads the development of tools like eo-learn and field delineation. These solutions are focused on using satellite data to help researchers to monitor and understand the effects of climate change on the earth's surface, oceans and atmosphere and make more informed decisions to mitigate those effects. Tools and solutions utilize Big Data Analytics and Deep Learning. He has a strong curriculum in many international R&D projects with industry. He is actively involved in the R&D projects, contributing to the development of digital tools, applications and implementing Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Matej can support fellows for their secondments in relation to software, infrastructure, machine learning, utilization of Earth observation data in research area of Machine learning in climate research.
