Dr. Kristjan Anderle is Chief Scientific Officer at Cosylab, where he is steering the roadmap of company’s software products for radiation therapy. He has been involved in several R&D projects revolving around innovations in radiotherapy. Additionally, he is a work-package leader and a supervisor for an ESR PhD student within another MCSA project, RAPTOR. Prior to joining Cosylab, he spent nearly half a decade at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany, where he obtained a PhD in physics. His main research area is particle therapy, especially treatment planning with carbon ions. Kristjan can support fellows for their secondments in relation to software for radiotherapy applications, specifically in treatment plan optimization, image registration and calibration, which relate to research area 5.0 (Personalised medicine and life sciences).
