Full professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari "Aldo Moro", where he leads the research group on "Knowledge Discovery and Data Engineering" (KDDE). He leads the Spoke 6 on Symbiotic AI of the National Research Project FAIR - "Future Artificial Intelligence Research" (2023-2025) . Director of the CINI Lab on Big Data (2023-2021) and currently Deputy Director. Member of the Board of Directors of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and of the Partnership Board of the cPPP Big Data Value (2015-2016). General Chair of the Joint Conference ALT/DS 2016.
