Danijel Skočaj

Danijel Skočaj is a professor at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, and the head of the Visual Cognitive Systems Laboratory. His main research interests lie in the fields of computer vision, deep learning, and cognitive robotics, with a focus on developing advanced data-driven learning-based methods for solving complex problems that require processing of visual information. He has led or collaborated on various EU, national, and industry-funded projects, and has facilitated the transfer of research findings into practical applications. He has also served as president of the IEEE Slovenia Computer Society and the Slovenian Pattern Recognition Society.
