Guido Zolezzi
Prof. Guido Zolezzi is a professor of hydraulics, ecohydraulics, and water resources at the Department of Civil Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, University of Trento , who has two decades of experience in river monitoring, through field observations and remotely sensed data, with a specific focus on the physical interaction between fluvial dynamics and riparian vegetation and was PI of the H2020 MSCA Individual Fellowship, RIVER-HMV (Hydraulic-Morphology-Vegetation Interactions), and of the project GLORI (GLaciers to RIvers sediment transfer in Alpine basins); Bertoldi was awarded the Gordon Warwick Award for excellence in geomorphological research in 2019.
Prof. Zolezzi and his team, have extensive experience in habitat modelling, with several applications at the regional and national scale. They are highly involved in the development of the MesoHABSIM methodologyat a national level, together with ISPRA (Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e Ricerca Ambientale) and with prof. Paolo Vezza at DIATI - Politecnico di Torino Furthemore, they are highly committed to knowtransfer on these topics with public institutions in charge of environmental monitoring and management and private professionals involved in environmental consulting.
