Marc Aubreville

Marc Aubreville is a German computer scientist and professor specializing in computer vision, medical image analysis, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. He studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and later earned his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg.

Aubreville’s research focuses on applying machine learning to medical imaging, particularly in digital pathology and microscopy-based diagnostics. His work aims to improve clinical decision-making through AI systems and to translate advanced algorithms into practical medical applications.

He has held academic positions including research professor at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt and is currently a professor at Hochschule Flensburg. In addition to his academic career, he spent several years in industry as an R&D engineer and system architect in signal processing for hearing aid technologies.

With over 100 scientific publications and a strong interdisciplinary profile, Aubreville contributes to advancing trustworthy and clinically applicable AI in medicine.
