Saptashwa Bhattacharyya

Saptashwa obtained his PhD in Astrophysics from Waseda University (2019) with a specialization in numerical simulation of galactic cosmic-ray propagation and analyzing large-scale data. Currently, his research interests lie in the application of modern AI algorithms to understand and analyze astrophysical data. Previously, he has also worked in an AI startup company for a short stint. He is a member of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) collaboration and the LSST Informatics and Statistics Science Collaboration (ISSC). Currently, he is leading the ESA Prodex grant (2025-2026).
