Sofia Triantafyllou
Sofia Triantafyllou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Crete. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Crete and has completed postdoctoral research at Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania. Before her current position, she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. She has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and is a co-investigator on NIH-funded projects. Her research focuses on advancing machine learning and causal inference methods, with applications across various fields. She has extensive experience collaborating with researchers in psychology, economics, epidemiology, and molecular biology, co-authoring numerous studies that apply novel machine learning methodologies to real-world problems.
