SISSA is a world-recognized international research and further education institute. It is one of the seven schools of excellence in Italy dedicated to advanced doctoral training in the three main areas of Physics, Mathematics and Neuroscience. The Theoretical and Scientific Data Science group at SISSA is an interdisciplinary research group based in the Physics department, interested in furthering all aspects of data science as applied to the natural sciences.
SISSA is located in the beautiful seaside city of Trieste, in the North-Eastern tip of Italy, enjoying excellent quality of life and great outdoors. We have strong collaborative links with the Institute for Fundamental Physics of the Universe (IFPU, www.ifpu.it/), the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (www.ictp.it), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF; Observatory of Trieste, www.oats.inaf.it/index.php/en/) and the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN; Trieste Section www.ts.infn.it/en/), as well as many other national and international institutions.
