Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) has been educating engineers for more than 300 years. CTU currently has eight faculties and 18 000 students. It continues to seek cooperation with the best European universities to achieve its goal - providing its students with knowledge, habits and skills necessary for European engineers of the 21st century, including social skills and a strong background in European values. CTU is a research-based university with its academic staff involved in many national and international research projects and with wide industrial cooperation. According to national university ranking in 2001, CTU received the highest possible A grade. CTU is especially strong in the research fields of artificial intelligence, informatics, cybernetics, civil, mechanical, electrical and nuclear engineering. CTU received the HR Award in 2019.
